Phillip Island update
I'm sorry it's been a bit quiet on my end the last couple of weeks, the last thing I wanted was to launch a blog and then disappear. But it's been a bit chaotic to say the least.
Everything started off great! Phillip Island welcomed us with amazing weather, and our little group of friends was ready for a great week at one of the most spectacular racetracks in the world.
The scenery is truly uniq with cliffs surrounding parts of the racetrack.
Team USA was on point for the International Challenge. Jason was up to speed right off the bat and qualified 2nd for the 4 main races.
The cheerleading squad
Jason was running 3rd in race 1 when he got a massive highside coming out of turn 11. Unfortunately his weekend had ended way too early as x-rays showed he had a broken leg and collarbone.
Sheila (79), Jasons Mum, traveled with us to experience Australia for her first time.
Jason being injured and having to spend the weekend in hospital was definitely a bummer for our whole group, but he refused to let it ruin the trip and made sure to crack jokes and put a smile on everyones faces.
Sheila and I are still in Australia waiting to get Jason cleared to go home. I honestly don't mind, I absolutely love this country:)
Pictures from our two days on track coming next.
